Nova started Nova Ridley Studio out of a converted garage in Portland in 2021, after a decade painting large-format canvases that nobody had room to hang. Fracturing those same color fields onto wearable pieces meant the work could finally leave the studio.

Every design begins as a physical paint pour before it’s rebuilt digitally — the torn edges and color bleeds are real, not filters. Nova calls it “controlled accident” work, and no two production runs land the color split exactly the same way.
