Iris Delacroix paints on the porch of a Savannah shotgun house overlooking the marsh, and Delacroix Tidewater, opened in 2019, is built entirely around that view — Spanish moss, tidal light, and loose, wet-on-wet watercolor washes that bleed into abstraction.

Iris paints outdoors year-round and lets the humidity do half the work; a muggy afternoon produces a very different bloom pattern than a dry one, and she leaves that unpredictability in the final designs.
