Hollis Vance restores vintage concert posters for a living and started Vance Vinyl & Ink in 2018 to design new ones in the same 70s gig-poster style. Sunburst gradients, halftone grain, and a color palette pulled straight off faded cardboard sleeves.

Hollis still designs on a light table with real gouache before scanning, which is why the color transitions never look quite as clean as a gradient tool would make them.
