Cass Monroe worked in comic-book coloring for nearly a decade before opening Monroe Pop Shop in 2021, and the halftone dot patterns never really left her toolkit. The shop leans hard into classic pop-art tropes — primary colors, thick outlines, a wink of irony.
Cass builds every piece at full resolution by hand-placing the Ben-Day dots rather than using a filter, which is the kind of detail only about six customers have ever noticed and asked about.
